Abdulrahman Al-Ali Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Civil Defense rescue teams saved Saturday morning a 40-year-old Yemeni national who fell into a deep and narrow hole on Jeddah Corniche close to Arbaeen Lagoon. Col. Saeed Sarhan, spokesman for Civil Defense, said rescue teams used ladders and ropes to get down into the eight-meter deep pit and pulled out the man successfully. They used a stretcher to lift the man, who sustained multiple injuries due to the impact of the fall, but is out of danger. A Red Crescent ambulance took him to a local hospital.
