JEDDAH — The Consulate General of India, Jeddah, has successfully organized a catalogue show of Indian companies at Yanbu. M.K. Ghildiyal, Consul (Commercial) and Pawan Tripathi, Vice Consul (Commercial), represented the consulate at the show. Amer Suliman Alhamdi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Yanbu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, inaugurated the two-day show on April 30 on the chamber premises. He welcomed this initiative of the consulate to promote bilateral commercial relations. Speaking on the occasion, Ghildiyal expressed hope that, with this show, more business ties would forge between India and Saudi Arabia. “Whenever required the commercial wing of the consulate is available to assist the Saudi businessmen from Yanbu,” he added. Catalogues of more than 100 Indian companies, covering a wide range of sectors, such as machinery, tools and equipment, textiles, automobiles and spare parts, building material, foodstuff and spices, and fashion, were on display. The business team from the consulate provided on-the-spot information to the visiting Saudi businessmen and replied to their enquiries. A large number of Saudi businessmen, executives, members of the general public and students of Nabh Al-Marifa Al-Ahlia School and Al Manar International School visited the show. — SG
