The Commercial Section of the Indian Consulate in Jeddah, in cooperation with the Jizan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized a two-day Catalogue Show of Indian companies last week in a bid to boost Indo-Saudi trade relations. Chairman of Jizan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nasser Bin Abdu Muri, and Indian Commercial Consul Mohammed Rashid Khan inaugurated the Catalogue Show in the presence of prominent members of the Chamber and Saudi businessmen. More than 150 Indian companies specialized in the field of textiles/ readymade dress, food items, electrical and electronic accessories, machinery and equipments, computer software and hardware, stationery, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, medical equipments, agriculture machinery, household items, appliances, handicrafts, gift items, etc., participated in the show. Commercial Consul Khan said the event highlighted the vast market potential of Indian products and investment opportunities in India for Saudi businessmen. Members of the Chamber expressed their interest in improving bilateral linkages and exchange of business delegations. The Catalogue Show was attended by nearly 125 Saudi businessmen and the Indian community in Jizan.
