Abdullah Al-Yahya Okaz/Saudi Gazette ABHA — The mother of a murdered child approached the Asir governorate demanding an autopsy because she believes her husband, who hastily buried the body, was responsible for her son's death. She also asked for protection from the father of the child, identified as Mohammad. The mother suggested that other people were involved in the murder, as her husband had previously assaulted Mohammad on many occasions but was released without any punishment every time. Asir governorate spokesman Awadh Al-Saeed said the child's sister was accused of killing her brother by wrapping a rope around his neck because he tore her school books. However, he said investigators noticed bruises on the child's body. He said the governorate also noticed the father was keen on the speedy burial of the child. Asir Emir Prince Faisal Bin Khalid has ordered the case to be referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution so it can authorize an autopsy to ascertain the cause of the child's death.
