Abdullah Al-Yahya Okaz/Saudi Gazette ABHA — A drug addict father has allegedly beaten his four-year-old child to death. A relative said the father came into the house in a furious state and was looking for his child, who was hiding in horror. He grabbed the child and dragged him to a bed before kicking him in his testicles. He then struck the child on the head with a metal piece and the child was lying there in a pool of blood. The father is believed to be a drug addict and had previously assaulted his son and daughter, breaking the latter's ribcage. However, he was not punished for his violence and he was released after killing his son also. His wife is living in terror, the relative said, as he has threatened to kill her. President of Asir Human Rights Commission Dr. Hadi Al-Yami said the commission is following the incident and has obtained full reports about it. These reports will be submitted to Asir governorate, calling for an investigation into how the case was handled previously.
