RIYADH — Saudi Shoura Council President Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sheikh received Turkish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Fatih Ulusoy at the Shoura headquarters here on Thursday. During the reception, Al-Sheikh accepted an official invitation from Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye Mustafa Şentop to visit the Republic of Türkiye, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Speaking on the occasion, Al-Sheikh stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, especially strengthening cooperation in various fields, mainly at the parliamentary level between the Shoura Council and the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye. He reiterated the need to activate continuous communication between the two legislatures and the significance of working to activate the role of the two parliamentary friendship committees. For his part, Ulusoy praised the recent exchange of visits made by the two countries' leaderships, noting that the relations between the two countries are considered as brotherly and that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries reflects positively on the region and the Islamic Ummah. He stressed the importance of increasing communication between officials of the two countries in various fields, mainly parliamentary communication between the two parliaments. Talks during the meeting reviewed aspects of bilateral relations between Riyadh and Ankara. They also discussed about the means to further enhance and boost them, in addition to addressing several issues of mutual interests.
