RIYADH — The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has stated some regions of Saudi Arabia are expected to experience thunderstorms from Wednesday to Saturday. The NCM said there are chances of thunderstorms to be accompanied by hailfalls, active downward winds and dust storms leading to a near-lack of horizontal visibility. The impact in the weather will begin with moderate rain in the southern parts of the Eastern Province, which includes the Al-Bat'ha port, the Empty Quarter desert, as well as the southern parts of the Riyadh region in Wadi Al-Dawasir. Starting Thursday, rainfall will extend to include the regions of Najran, Asir, and Jazan, the NCM said, indicating that the rain will be from medium to heavy. Rain is expected to fall in the regions of Al-Baha and Makkah on Friday and Saturday, the weather agency added.
