JEDDAH — ATS, Al-Abeer KKR and SLMCC qualified for the semifinals of the TCF-FSN Champions Trophy 2013 at the Baghdadiya ground here recently. After the completion of 20 league matches, three top teams have made it into the semifinals which will be played Thursday. Indian Consul (Haj) Mohammed Noor Rahman Sheikh will grace the final which will be played Friday. ATS registered its third win by beating MEDNET by 7 wickets and became the first team to enter the semifinals from Pool B. Shams was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match for his match-winning knock of 44 runs from just 19 balls with 6 sixes. In Pool C, 2011 champions Target Guys were beaten by Al-Abeer KKR in a thrilling match. Target Guys batted first and scored 109-9 in 10 overs. In reply, Al-Abeer KKR chased the target in 8.5 overs as captain Amitab scored a valuable 41. KKR's Noufal was named the Man-of-the-Match for his excellent bowling performance of 4-23 in three overs. In Pool D, SLMCC beat Al-Jouf by nine wickets and booked its berth in the semis. Rumesh Abdulkader batted well and clinched the Man-of-the-Match award. In Pool A, Dazzle XI won by 4 runs against Nokia Tuskers in a thriller to keep its hopes alive for a semifinal ticket.
