The fourth TCF day and night cricket tournament for FSN Trophy, which is being organized by Tellicherry Cricket Forum, began at the Baghdadiya ground here. After an impressive parade of the teams Pranav Ganesh, Indian Consul, inaugurated the tournament by hitting the ball delivered by Aijaz Khan, Vice President of Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA). Earlier TCF executive member Anwar Sadath welcome the chief guest, other invited dignitaries, cricket fans and players. Pranav Ganesh and other guests were introduced to captains of 12 teams which are taking part in the tournament. TCF president said that we are happy that top twelve cricket clubs in the city are taking part in the tournament this year. FSN Divisional Manager Afsal Babu, Haroon (Admin. Secretary, JCA) and Khader Khan (President, IPWF) also graced the opening ceremony. In the inaugural match last year runner-up Al-Jazeera Ford beat former two-time TCF champion Dynamic Cricket Club by 9 wickets. Akbar, who blasted 54 runs in just 19 balls, won the Man of the Match Award. In the other matches, Mednet beat Srilankan Malay Cricket Club by 5 runs and Laksiri toppled defending champion Target Guys in a very tight match which was decided on run rate. The two-week tournament, which will see all the best teams of Jeddah in action, is mainly sponsored by FSN (Faisal S. Al-Naimi Est.). The event is also supported by Air Arabia, Aeroxpress, Fadhil Hajj Group, BUPA, ABC Cargo, Royal Costa, EAZI Pens and Naseem Jeddah Hospital. The 12 participating teams are: Sri Lankan Malay Cricket Club, Alpha CC, Laksiri CC, Target Guys, Hyderabad Royals, Mednet, Rafa Medical Center, Dynamic CC, Unite Naghi, Al-Jazeera Ford Royals, B Cola Tuskers and Predators Calicut.
