RIYADH – The 3rd Pinoy Darts and Billiards Enthusiasts in Hail (PDBEH) concluded with exciting highlights conducted in two consecutive weeks composed of different categories namely: ladies singles event, youth singles, novice singles, adult open singles event and adult classified doubles. The success was possible through the big help of Lulu Hypermarket in Hail and the event organizers headed by Dan Masilungan and PDBEH officers with the assistance of the Expat Darters of Saudi Arabia (EDSA). In the ladies singles event, Quennie Valdez emerged champion. Ana Velitario grabbed the second spot and Yeye Molina took the third slot. Jem Paulino settled in fourth spot. In the youth singles, Benjamin Rosaupan claimed the title while Quenniie Valdez once again proved her prowess and grabbed second place. Eman Dizon proved he can do some darting at third place and Elizabeth Molina settled in fourth place but it was a big achievement for her. In the beginners' event, Roland Paulino claimed the championship title. Joel Ramiscal also was only short with some darting but grabbed the second spot. Sherwin Pispis settled for third place and Joseph Camillier also proved he can do something through a fourth place finish. In the adult open singles, Frans Dagadag outpointed five of his opponents in the winner's bracket including EDSA top caliber Jun Jison in the final match. Dagadag unleashed firepower and maintained his grip all throughout the game to claim the championship title. Jun Jison swept two matches but lost to Val Bajade in the third canto, but staged revenge in the loser's bracket against Bajade to set a final match with Dagadag. Jison finished second after the loss from Baguio boy Frans Dagadag. Bajade settled at third place after winning only four of his matches. A new name in the ranks is Randy Valdez, who also barreled in the winners and losers bracket to grab the fourth slot. Ariel Agbunag, Jhun Lagrana, Jerome Rosaupan and Jay Orate settled for the remaining seats from fifth to eight places respectively. In the doubles event, Jhun Lagrana and Joeben Asilo snatched the championship crown against the strong pair, Yanzy Blanche and Christian Vistal, who landed in the second place. Val Bajade and Lemuel Anciano proved their darting abilities in third place while Jerom Rosaupan and Gilbert Nantes got fourth. Special awards were given to Jun Jison, Dan Masilungan and Dennis Santos for Ton 80 Club. Jun Jison, Jhun Lagrana and Jay Orate for the bulls-eye king award while Lagrana ang Jison recorded the highest outshot of 164. Least darts (16 darts) was given to none other than the head of PDBEH himself, Dan Masilungan proving his improved skills in the toe line.
