RIYADH — Team Vipers led by Elmer Parago and captained by Val Bajade managed to stay on top of the ladder after clinching a very important game against rival NBD Travelers, 11-8 in the last game ending the third elimination round. Vipers are in No. 1 position with 18-3 win-loss card. Former champs NBD is in second slot, 17-4. Juan Tapel's Brand One settled in third spot with 14-7 card. Allen Balladers' Aport Darters in fourth place, 11-10 while Boss and Cobras are tied at 7-14. Snipers could only settle in seventh place, and eighth was Lemad with the same card, 5-16. These last two teams are set to face off once more in the next battle via best-of-three game format. In the individual statistics, Bong Bardon topped the bulls outshot with two scores. Jimmy Muit grabbed the highest outshot of 126 all throughout the three elimination rounds. The least dart record holders (17 darts) were Emmer Cortez (EDSA President), Pancho Caculitan, Bong Bardon, Cliff Caritativo and Bomie Biscocho. Top ranked Class A player Jun Jison recorded three Ton-80s. Ariel Laxa, Yanzy Blanche, Bert Loyola, Noel Borromeo and Robert Teodoro each had two Ton-80s. The top 3 individual players of the 56th tournament are Jun Jison of Vipers with 19 overall points, Ariel Laxa also of Vipers, 18 points and Bong Bardon of Boss Team, 17.25 points. Meanwhile, the Eid Al-Adha in-Kingdom Invitational Dart Tournament highlighted the big win of EPDA 3 4-man team composed of Eastern Region's top players: Nel Dela Cruz, Jr., Orlie Rollan, Ronald Que and Jefferson Ilagan. The team came strong in the winner's bracket challenged by EDSA's Vipers team who were denied in the final showdown. Aport Team 1 managed to clinch the second-chance winner in the loser's bracket at the expense of Brand One. In the singles ladies event, Pamela Jaro clinched her first EDSA championship title by denying EPDA's Jazel Baldres. Jaro's steady throws denied all her four opponents and went for the kill in the last showdown against Baldres. The event also highlighted Pancho Caculitan's 170 highest checkout. The event was organized by the Expat Darters of Saudi Arabia (EDSA), a prime association of dart enthusiasts based in Riyadh, the capital city.
