RIYADH — Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) held its prize distribution ceremony to awards prizes for three completed tournaments of season 2018-19. Completed tournaments include RCA 100-Ball Tournament, Vestona Royce T20 Tournament and AMEX Tournament. Trophies were presented to the winners and runners-up of these tournaments along with star individual performers. Mohammed Zeeshan Ahmed, Deputy Head of Mission, Pakistan Embassy Riyadh was the chief guest on this occasion. Other guests included Abdul Shakoor Sheikh, Community Welfare Officer, Pakistan Embassy Riyadh, representatives of AMEX and Vestona Royce and prominent dignitaries from different walks of the community. During this ceremony, RCA, the champion team of recently-concluded National T20, was honored as well. RCA won the first ever National T20 Championship under the leadership of Riyadh's legendary cricketer Mohammad Nadeem Babar. All the players from RCA squad were presented with cash prizes and appreciation shields. Nadeem Babar also has the honor of leading Saudi Arabia which scored the highest one-day inning total of 499. This was an international match of ACC trophy played in Malaysia. The ceremony was hosted by RCA General Secretary Nasir Abbasi, while Abul Hassan gave presentation to highlight RCA role and initiatives. Speaking on the occasion, RCA President Tariq Javed thanked all guests and RCA team managers and captains for attending this ceremony. Chief Guest Mohammed Zeeshan Ahmed assured that Pakistan Embassy will continue its full support to RCA. He also appreciated the efforts of RCA in promotion of cricket in Saudi Arabia. Nadeem Babar, CEO RCA and special representative of Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Nasser Bin Abdul Aziz, conveyed message of the Prince to teams to continue playing disciplined cricket and assured them his support.
