RIYADH — Lahore Lions and Fonte Stars won the titles in their respective leagues of the SAIB T20 Tournament, sponsored by The Saudi Investment Bank and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA). Al-Kharaj League In a high scoring final of the Premier League, Lahore Lions upset Pak Shaheen. Pak Shaheen, batting first, posted 259-6. Abdul Waheed smashed his sixth hundred and third 150 or plus score in SAIB T20 when he hit 150 off just 67 balls. Wahab made 39. Owais picked up 2 wickets. Thanks to brilliant batting by Mansoor (100 off 41 balls) and Owais (81 off 41 balls), Lahore Lions successfully chased down the target in 18.2 overs. Javed claimed 2 wickets. Mansoor was awarded the Man of the Final. Abdul Waheed earned the Best Batsman award for his 905 runs in the tournament. Abdul Salam was the Best Bowler and the Man of the Tournament went to Malik Fahad. Huraymala League Fonte Stars also chased 250 plus to win the title. Falcons scored 255-4. Nadeem (71), Kamran (70), Aasif (48) and Farukh (47) all batted well. Fonte Stars top order sparkled in hitting the target in 18.3 overs. Waseem scored another century, making 115 off just 50 balls. Bilal (71) and Safdar (51) scored fifties. Waseem was adjudged Man of the Final and Best Batsman of the tournament. Shakeel emerged as Best Bowler, while Rizwan was named Man of the Tournament. The prize distribution ceremony was held soon after the finals. RCA General Secretary Nasir Abbasi anchored the event. Chief guest was Graham Gun, head of retail banking, Saudi Investment Bank. Tariq Javed, president RCA/chairman EC Saudi Cricket Center; Nadeem Babar, CEO, RCA; and special representative of the Patron in Chief Prince General Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Nasser Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Abdul Kareem Khan, Senior Vice President RCA; and other RCA executive committee members were also present on this occasion. Speaking on this occasion, Khan thanked all RCA teams for their support. Babar conveyed the message of patron in chief in which he congratulated RCA Patron/Chairman Mohammad Anwar, president Tariq Javed, CEO Nadeem Babar and all other executive committee members for organizing another successful tournament. Babar thanked all the team captains and managers for playing cricket within the spirit of the game. He credited Javed's vision and guidance for RCA's growth from 24 clubs to 70 plus in three years. Javed thanked The Saudi Investment Bank for sponsoring the tournament. He also appreciated RCA management for its commitment toward the development of the game.
