RIYADH — Amir Holidays, Hyderabadi Warriors and Riyadh Panthers emerged champions of the Banque Saudi Al-Fransi T20 (BSF) Cricket Tournament, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) here recently. In the Super League final, Pak Shaheen won the toss and elected to bat. Amir Holidays' bowlers used the new ball brilliantly and took 3 quick wickets, but Abdul Wahab Khan stabilized the innings with a valuable innings of 96. He was well-supported by Abdul Salam and Abdul Qadir who scored 31 and 24, respectively, and Pak Shaheen tallied a formidable 207. Abdulrahman took 3 wickets, while Kamran Hadi, Nadeem Bhatti and Saeed Raheem got one each. Amir Holidays started its innings briskly as openers Imran made 55 and Irfan 41. After the loss of the openers, Kamran Hadi took the team to victory with an unbeaten 46 off 19 balls. Sami Arshad and Ihtisham also played well and scored 30 and 23, respectively. Amir Holidays lost only 3 wickets in pursuit of the target. Kamran Hadi was declared the Man-of-the-Match. Hyderabadi Warriors beat CKK by 5 runs in a low-scoring Premier League I Final. Batting first, Warriors were all out for 152. Abdul Majid was the highest scorer with 30. Mumtaz and Abdulkareem made 29 each. Omer took 3 wickets, Basit and Nouman 2 each and Nabeel 1. Chasing 153, CKK batting line-up crumbled under pressure and could only score 147 in 20 overs. Najeeb made 42, Zeeshan 25 and Nabeel 18. Mohammed Bin Saleh was the pick of the bowlers. He took 2 wickets. Shahnawaz, Mumtaz and Abdul Majid got one wicket each. Mohammed Bin Saleh picked up the Man-of-the-Match plum. In Premier League II final, Riyadh Panthers beat Pak Force by 33 runs. Batting first, Panthers scored 212 in 20 overs, thanks to a well-made 126 off 63 balls by Sajid Cheema. Raza also played well and scored 43. In reply, Pak Force was all out for 179. Yasir and Waqar got 3 wickets each. Sajid Cheema was declared the Man-of-the-Match. Khayam Akbar, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of PakistanRiyadh, was the chief guest during the prize distribution ceremony. Guests of honor included Shamshad Siddiqui, Asghar Qureshi, Riaz Rathore, Mohammed Anwar and Tariq Javed. Prizes for Season 2011-2012 tournaments, including Shehryar Mirza Memorial Tournament, RCA Summer Cup and Prince Abdulaziz Bin Nasser Trophy were also given during the ceremony. RCA Inter-City winning team players and officials were also honored with special prizes. Speaking on the occasion, RCA Vice President Dr. Ahmer Waheed thanked BSF for sponsoring the RCA tournament. RCA Senior Vice President Kareem Khan welcomed the guests, teams and players. RCA CEO, Nadeem Babar, thanked all the teams for their support. RCA President Tariq Javed announced that RCA will organize international tours in the Season 2012-13. RCA Patron Mohammed Anwar appreciated the RCA Executive Committee members for organizing such a grand event.
