MANILA — After 15 years in show business, Dimples Romana got her first acting award. Romana got the Best Actress award at Gawad Tanglaw for her performance in the “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode titled “Relo.” The episode, which aired on October last year, starred Romana as the wife of the main character played by hunk actor Zanjoe Marudo. “In my 15 years, this is my very first win and this is very special to me,” the actress said at the ABS-CBN morning show “Kris TV” aired on Friday. “It would be offbeat if won't say that wished I would win because, as always, I had ended up as a nominee,” she said. “When my name was called, I thought it was a joke. When I was in the car, I was doing an MMK, I cried. Thanks, Gawad Tanglaw.” Romana said it feels good that all of her hard work paid off. “After each series, I always pat myself on the pat. This time, somebody pats it for me,” she said. — SG
