Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH – The academic faculty and students of Al Wurood International School- Jeddah gave a fond farewell to the outgoing batches of CBSE classes 10 and 12. The annual farewell party, celebrated with fervor, was an occasion for the outgoing students to stroll down the memory lane of the fruitful campus days and identify the superior breed of education that they have acquired. The program got off to a grand start in the school auditorium with a warm welcome given to the guests of honor and the senior students by the juniors. There was a spate of music, magic show and laughter as the hosts impressed with their repository of talent and skills. Hassan Cheruppa of Saudi Gazette and P.K Abdul Gafour of Arab News were the guests of the day at the function. Salman Faris of Gulf Madhyamam, Al Wurood's Administrative Officer Shahid T.M.C, Headmaster Peter, and Sunil Waynad were also there with other dignitaries to give away mementos to the outgoing students. In a bitter-sweet moment, the school principal K. Rahamathullah urged students not to forget who they were and where they came from, and to work hard to achieve great heights of excellence. The school also hosted the prestigious Achiever Award ceremony to honor students who made outstanding achievements. The awards were bagged by Abdullah Nasir Jamal, Samir Abdulhamid Hussein, Irfanuddin, Adithya Chaudari, Mohammed Ali, Fardeen Ali, Karan Dilsher, Mustafa Ali Khan and Salman Ummer. Students also showed their gesture by presenting mementos to their teachers who had been their mentors in shaping their future and developing their personality. The evening session, which started after a hearty lunch, saw the fun and frolic. The juniors and seniors came one by one on the dais to perform individually on the different roles given to them. The juniors organized a few exciting games for their seniors which brought all of them together and served as a nice seamless entry into what they had all been waiting for – a warm environment between juniors and seniors. Speaking on behalf of the outgoing students, Karan Dilsher of class 10 said: “On behalf of all, I say we will miss this great institution, which has built us and made us who we are. Thank you for this beautiful event that delighted all of us.”
