Investiture Ceremony held at Al-Wurood

A grand Investiture ceremony was held at Al-Wurood International School, Jeddah, on April, 18, for boys and girls.
The Office Bearers of the Students' Council for the next academic year was was officially taken over by the Head Boy, Abdullah Nasir Jamal and the Head Girl, Ashana.
The multi-perspective Students' Council plays a vital role in executing all activities of the school, thus making an amazing headway, every year. It offers rewarding prospects for the youth and enhances an awareness of the responsibilities they shoulder, under the strict rules of conduct and discipline.
The council comprises — of the Head Boy, Head Girl, Asst. Head Boy/Asst. Head Girl, Sports Captains, Student Editor, and the House Captains of the Red, Blue, Green and Yellow Houses — together they are responsible for the maintenance of discipline and other activities.
In the ceremony organized in the Boys' Section, K. Rahamathullah, the principal welcomed the gathering. In his inspiring message he said that the Students' Council acts as a formal link between the students' body and the school authorities and advised them to set an example for their fellow students armed with dedication and commitment. Not only he summoned the students to persevere to achieve the goal and strive toward perfection, but also exhorted them to get exposed to challenges in life to become potential leaders. He also reflected on how important it is to create in them an awareness of core morals.
V. P. Mohammed Ali, director of the school emphasized on the need to nurture a great vision for the future. His vibrant message's main focus was on the responsibilities of students and how to improve leadership qualities to excel in all walks of life.
EDUSPORTS Program, India's premier school sports enterprise was launched by Meer Waqiruddin Khaleeq, co-founder and head Business Development and Gautam Mukherjee, project manager. The wonderful display of Martial Arts and Edu Sports activities by the students added color to the ceremony. It also manifested the glory of true sportsmanship, team spirit and the importance of systematic and disciplined way of life by obeying sets of rules of the game.
In the Girls' Section Sereena Jalaludeen, the vice principal presented her vibrant welcome speech. She reminded the new student office bearers of the enormous responsibilities they shoulder and evoked them to go an extra mile to give their best to the school, so that they can make a difference in the lives of others around.
Tarannum Mumthas Akhtar, director Al Mawarid International School presided over the ceremony and galvanized the gathering with her effervescent words of wisdom. Salma Shaik, vice principal, Al Mowhiba International School graced the function.
The official launch of EduSports program was splendid. The Chief Guest and the Vice Principal released the curriculam manual. The display organized by Sana Shahid, trainer at Edusports, was breathtaking.
In an exceptional oath taking ceremony, the Guests of Honour and the Principal handed over badges, sashes and flags to the office-bearers.
They in turn pledged that they would be role models to others in their behaviour. In words and deeds they would uphold the honor of the school. The Head Boy and the Head Girl presented their first official speech of the academic year. The Asst Head Boy, Karan Dilshar and the Asst. Head Girl, Takreem Iliyas proposed the vote of thanks.
The ceremony ended with the Saudi and Indian National Anthems.
