JEDDAH — ICC, Tamer and Jawar Al-Jazirah scored impressive wins in the third week of action in the Ace Premier League, sponsored by Ace Travel & Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) here recently. ICC Irfan Basha beat Deccan Knight by 10 runs. ICC put on 189 for the loss of six wickets. Raheel 50 (5x4), Imran Chaudhary 53 (9x4) and Atta Ur Rahman 31 (2x6) were the main scorers. Athar (3-27), Karam Ali (2-32) contained the batsmen. In reply, Deccan Knights fought well, but fell short by 10 runs, as they were restricted to 179. Athar shone with the bat as well, scoring 74 off 45 balls (9x4 and 3x6). Atta (2-28) and Sadiq (2-7) were instrumental in handing their teams a well-deserved win. Jawar Al-Jazirah beat JPCC by eight wickets. Batting first, JPCC scored 224 for the loss of eight wickets. Saleem made 24, while Abid Parvez hit 65 off 44 balls (7x4 and 2x6) and Ahsan 22. Asim (2-29), Shan (2-30) bowled well to contain JPCC. In reply, Jawar Al-Jazirah scored 227 for the loss of two wickets with Shaan Manzoor hitting 119 off 49 balls with sweetly-timed 11 boundaries and eight sixes. Giving him support at the other end were Sajid 50 (6x4, 1x6) and Asim 27 (3x4, 2x6). In another encounter, Tamar beat Natco by 38 runs. Tamar scored 199 for the loss of six wickets. Ashfaq scored 90 (8x4, 3x6), Syed Mohammad Afroz 48 and Khalid 33. Rana Shahzad bagged 3-32, that included a hat trick. In reply, Natco was bundled out for 161 with Shahzad (32), Hasnain (20), Jamshed (22) and Sajid (20) pooling in with their bats. Waseem (2-26); Afroz (2-30) bowled a tight length to enable their team a good win.
