Desert Warriors, Deccan Knights and Kanoo win

The fourth week matches of the Ace League, sponsored by Ace Travel & Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA), saw Desert Warriors, Kanoo and Deccan Knights score easy wins over their respective rivals.
While Desert Warriors beat AJ Blue by six wickets, Deccan Knights handed Natco an 88-run thrashing and Kanoo beat Jawar Al-Jazirah by six wickets.
AJ Blue batting first was skittled out for a paltry 109 runs. Main contributions came from Nadeem (34 – 5x4) and Arsalan 27 (2x4 1x6). Ahmad with 4-18 had the batsmen in a spin, whereas Abdul Quddus took 3-8. In reply Desert Warriors raced home to 110 for the loss of four wickets with Razi scoring 29 (5x4), Jay Kumar 28 not out (5x4) and Aleem 34 (5x4,1x6). Nadeem, Riaz and Azmat claimed a wicket each as Desert Warriors scored the required runs with five overs to spare.
The second match saw Jawar Al-Jazirah shot out by Kanoo for a meagre score of 124. Asim (17), Amer Shahzad 29 (3x6 and 2x4), Naseer (15) and Adnan (17) were the scorers as Kanoo bowlers Mansoor (2-43), Majid (2-27), Thabrez (2-9) and Sami (2-17) shared the spoils.
The Kanoo side in reply reached the target of 125 runs for the loss of four wickets with Thabrez scoring 37 (1x6 and 2x4) and Kamran 18 (2x4 and 1x6) putting on 57 runs for the opening wicket. Later Najam 37 (3x6 and 3x4) used the long handle to enable Kanoo reach the target with five overs to spare. Tariq claimed 2-21 and Kamran 1-22.
The third encounter saw Deccan Knights bat first against Natco. It posted 181 runs before restricting Natco to 93 runs to win the match by 88 runs. Afroz scored 58 off 19 balls, Najeeb 19, Inayat 26 and Abbu 19 for Deccan Knights. Yasin took 3-13, including a hat trick, while Humayoon Farooq (2-41) and Sadek (2-39) bowled reasonably well. In reply Imran (21) and Humayoon (26) tried their best to hold the fort for Natco. Athar bowled a deadly spell of 4-15, Rabbani claimed 2-24, while Hyder and Abu Jabri bagged a wicket each.
Deccan Knights is the only unbeaten team in the Premier League. __
