JEDDAH — Natco, ICC, Deccan Knights and Jawar Al-Jazirah recorded impressive wins over their respective opponents in the 2nd week matches of the Ace Travel-JCA Premier League here.
The league, which is organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA), is sponsored by Ace Travel & Tours. While Natco and ICC managed narrow wins, Deccan Knights and Jawar Al-Jazirah dominated their rivals.
Natco beat JPCC by 11 runs. Natco batted first and scored 185-7. Openers Chand and Rauf and one down Humayun were dismissed cheaply to leave Natco tottering at 30-3. JPCC began well as Saleem scored a quick-fire 48 (6x4, 2x6 off 22 balls), while Shareef (24), Khalid (20), Ismail (26) and Jawad (24) gave good support. But it was not sufficient as JPCC managed only 174-8. Abbas (3-25), Humayun (2-28) and Ashique (2-38) shared the spoils to give their team a narrow win by 11 runs.
