ACE Travels beat Natco International by 13 runs, while Jawar Al-Jazira thrashed JPCC by seven wickets in the fifth week action for Kanoo Premier Cup, which is sponsored by Kanoo Group of Companies and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association. Natco won the toss and opted to field. ACE Travels scored 164-7 in 17 overs. Makeshift opener Talha Qulani went for 4, but his opening partner Wajid Samdani scored a match-winning 86 off 48 balls (10 fours and two sixes). Others who contributed included: Awad 21, Ayaz 11 and Naveed 10. Jamshed bagged two wickets, while Humayoon and Ashiq claimed a wicket each for Natco. In reply the Natco top-order played responsibly with Ather Ali adding 34 and Abdul Rauf Memon 38 runs. Hussein Abbas scored 16, Umer 13 runs and Atta-Ur-Rehman 30 not out, but the side fell short by 13 runs. Wickets fell at regular intervals as Naveed claimed a hat trick in his third over for figures of 3-12. Wajid bagged 2-43 and Saeed Balm 1-32. In the second match, JPCC, batting first, scored 171-6 in 18 allotted overs. Saleem scored 61 off 32 balls, Parvez Abid 46, Malik 19 and Shareef 13. Ramzan and Asim were among the wickets for Jawar Al-Jazira. In reply Jawar Al-Jazira reached the target (173) for the loss of three wickets in 15 overs, winning the match by seven wickets. Opener Shaan Manzoor kept his cool and scored 52 runs off 26 balls, Adnan Imad made 34, Asim Ali 21 and Javed 16. Usman Ali claimed two wickets and Saleem took one wicket.
