RIYADH – From the annals of not-so-smart robbers, Riyadh police arrested a young Saudi man after he uploaded a video of himself committing a robbery on the popular video-sharing website YouTube. Appropriately titled “Youth Breaks Into Shop”, police used the video to arrest the young man who is reportedly in his 20s. Upon interrogation, the young man confessed to carrying out the robbery and told police that after stealing a car whose engine had been left running, he proceeded to an electronics store in Al-Mansourah district of Riyadh. He then rammed the car, described as a Hyundai Elantra, into the store's main door several times before successfully tearing it down and making away with dozens of smart phones, navigation equipment and other electronic devices. Police are stilling investigating the incident but with plenty of incriminating evidence on hand, it is likely that this dedicated YouTube user will remain behind bars for the foreseeable future.
