Pak Fighters book berth in semifinals

Pak Fighters beat TBCC by 31 runs and confirmed their place in the semifinals, Tigers beat Imran XI by 5 wickets and Riyadh Fighters got a walk over against Riyadh Hawks in the last round matches of the RCA Fuchs Cup 2012.
Put in to bat, Ahmed Khan and Hilal Khan helped Pak Fighters reach 185 in 20 overs against TBCC. In reply, TBCC was all out for 154 in 16 overs. Abdul Salam was the highest scorer for TBCC with 37 runs. Faisal Imran of Pak Fighters took 5 wickets including a hat trick, Waqas Aslam grabbed 3 while Khurram and Wasim Ahmed took one wicket each.
In the second match, batting first, Imran XI scored 183-6 against Tigers. Mohammed Shakeel, Mohammed Riad and Nabil Ibn Shahid took two wickets each. Tigers surpassed the target (185) for the loss of 6 wickets. Manik remained unbeaten on 50.
In the last round match, Riyadh Fighters got a walk over against Riyadh Hawks.The semifinal fixture for the Fuchs Cup is as follows:
Super League – Pak Shaheen vs. KFSH Blues and Lahore Lions vs. Lahore Badshah. I
Premier League 1 – Amir Holidays vs. KFSH Greens and Al-Hamra vs. Attieh Steel.
Premier League 2 – Riyadh Warriors vs. Seham and Riyadh Fighters vs. Pak Fighters.
RCA has also started the third event of the season 2011-2012, Shehryar Mirza Memorial Tournament where 29 teams are fighting for honors. The teams are divided into three leagues as Super, Premier-1 and Premier-2.
The first Super League match of the new tournament ended in an upset where BSF beat Pak Shaheen by 3 wickets.
Batting first Pak Shaheen collapsed and could score only 173 in 27 overs. Abdul Qadir was the top scorer with 30. Safdar took 3 wickets. In reply, BSF reached the target in 36.4 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. Zahid remained unbeaten on 61 while Khawar scored 38. Iftikhar took 2 wickets.
In another match, Lahore Badshah beat Shuraim by 8 wickets. Shuraim batted first and scored 148. Yassir of Lahore Badshah bowled excellently and took 6 wickets. Lahore Badshah achieved the target in 15.3 overs for the loss of two wickets. Asif and Asim scored 50 each.
In Premier League-1, Pak Eagles beat Knight Riders by 84 runs. Batting first Pak Eagles scored 228 in 20 overs. Sahib Zahedeen hit 74 and Abdulaziz 51. Talal took 2 wickets. In reply, Knight Riders were all out for 144 in 17.5 overs. Bilal and Kareem made 43 and 40 respectively. Sajid Ali took 4 wickets.
In a Premier League 2 match, Deer XI won its first match against Riyadh Panthers. Batting first Deer XI scored a mammoth 248-9 in 20 overs. Khursheed scored 71. In reply, Riyadh Panthers scored 225 in 20 overs. Sajjad and Raza were the major contributors with 35 and 29 respectively. Enamullah took 3 wickets while Rahimullah and Sikander took 2 wickets each.
Abdul Qadeer Mirza Trophy is being played on Thursdays.
Results: KFSH Blues beat Pak Shaheen by 41 runs. KFSH Blues 195-5 in 20 overs (Saqib Abbasi 70, Suhail Bakhshi 30, Khurram Baig 25, Abdul Salam and Iftikhar 2 wickets. Pak Shaheen 154 in 17.1 overs (Abdul Aziz 30 runs, Saqib Abbasi 3 wickets, Shahzaid Khan 2 wickets).
