RIYADH — Delhi Public School, Indian International Public School and PIS Nasseryia won their matches in the Saudi Gazette Inter-School Cricket Tournament being organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) at the RCL Complex here. In the Under-16 category, Delhi Public School (DPS) defeated Pakistan School Nasseriya and Indian International Public School (IIPS) beat Pakistan International School (ES) Sulaimania. In the U-19 category, PIS Nasseriya got better of PISES Sulaimania. Under-16 category Pakistan School Nasseriya batted first and made 149 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs against DPS. Waqar made 42 runs with one boundary, Jamshed hit 29 runs and Fakhar 20. Musaib took 4 wickets in 4 overs conceding 33 runs. Hamza took 2 wickets and Yousuf one. In reply, DPS made 152-4 in 16.2 overs. Ariz remained unbeaten on 51 with 10 fours and Fahad made 35 not out. Waleed Khan took 2 wickets in 3.2 overs and Jamshed one for PIS Nasseryia. Ariz of DPS was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match for scoring 51 runs not out. Opting to bat first, PIS-ES Sulaimania was all out for 108 runs in 20 overs. Usman made 38 runs with one boundary, while Athar and Hamza made 11 runs each. Ashar and Vaishak took 3 wickets each. Ammar got 2, while Sidharth and Hameedullah claimed one wicket each. In reply, IIPS made 109-3 in 11.3 overs. Ammar remained unbeaten on 36 with three boundaries and Bilal made 24. Usman Hussain and Athar took one wicket each. Ammar Ali of IIPS was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match for his all-round performance. Under-19 category PIS Nasseriya batted first and scored a huge total of 210 runs. Mohammed was in great form striking the ball all around the ground. He made 64, Farhan 29 and Yasir 25. Kaleem took 3-26 in 4 overs, Bilal 2 and Danial one. In reply, PIS-ES Sulaimania was all out for 122 in 19 overs. Kaleem made 27 not out and Usman Faisal 24. Akif took 4-4 in 2 overs, Mohammed 2-12 in 2 overs, while Yasir, Ahsan, Anees, Abdulrehman got one wicket each. Mohammed of Nasseriya was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match for his magnificent all-round performance. The matches are played on Thursdays.
