RIYADH – The Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) is organizing Festival Cricket Matches at RCL Complex on Al-Kharj Road here Friday. It is for the first time that RCL is hosting these cricket matches for the South Asian communities living in the capital city. Six teams are taking part in the event. They are: Pakistan Embassy (Aayan XI); PIS-ES Sulaimanyah (Eagles XI); PIS Nasseriyah (Teachers XI); Riyadh Doctors XI; Pakistan Investor Forum (PIF XI); and Indian Combined XI (Indian Embassy and Alig Forum). The teams have been divided in two groups, where each side will play two matches with the top two teams playing the final in the afternoon. RCL President Mamoor Elahi and the Executive Committee members have put in a lot of effort to make special separate arrangements for families. This day-long event will be played on two RCL grounds, where matches will start at 8.30 a.m. The tournament is sponsored by Power Zone, Al-Rabie Foods, Nasair, Castrol, Sketchers and Pepsi. The RCL has also made arrangements for welcoming the guests by offering lunch, snacks and juices on the ground. A prize distribution ceremony will take place at the end of the event. Dignitaries from the Indian and Pakistani Embassies, businessmen and executives representing different companies will grace the ceremony.
