RIYADH – At the end of Season 2011-2012, Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) organized an annual prize distribution function for its teams and players which was attended by diplomats from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Embassies, RCL league teams and players. Khayyam Akbar, Deputy Head of Mission, Pakistan Embassy, was the chief guest. The proceedings started with the recitation from Holy Qur'an by Zakariya Hassen. Aasif Shaikh, Chief Operating Officer, made the welcome address and in the absence of RCL President Mamoor Elahi the session was chaired by Jawad Khalifa, RCL Patron. Sheikh highlighted the activities of the 2-11-12 season and presented the development plan for the 2012-13 season. Raza-ur-Rahman, Senior Advisor RCL, congratulated the executive committee for the successful season. He thanked the sponsors and media for supporting RCL. RCL Patron Khalifa also thanked the teams for supporting the committee and congratulated the winners. Chief guest Akbar also congratulated the winning teams, players and RCL executive committee for organizing such an event. He also mooted the idea of an Inter Embassies Cricket Tournament. Jawaid Munawar poposed the vote of thanks.
