RIYADH — Recent matches in the Banque Saudi Al-Fransi T20 Cup Organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) completed Round 9 here.
In the Super League, KFSH Blues trounced Ayoun Al-Badr by a big margin of 85 runs. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, KFSH Blues piled up 245-4 in 20 overs. Qaiser Hussain and Nasir Abbasi provided a brisk start.
Hussain scored 134 off 60 balls with the help of 7 sixes. Abbasi scored 34 off 16 balls, Fakhar made 29 and Qasim 18. Ali, Imran, Shakir and Ameen grabbed one wicket each. Chasing the huge target, Ayoun Al-Badr could only manage 160-8 in 20 overs. Ahmer Waheed made 45, Azizullah 36 and Ali 25.
Nasir Abbasi and Khurram Baig bagged 2 wickets each.
Lahore Badshah booked its place in the top four by upsetting Pak Shaheen by 8 wickets. Pak Shaheen scored 156 in 18 overs. Asif and Shoaib claimed 4 wickets each. Lahore Badshah achieved the target in 16.5 overs for the loss of two wickets. Yassir remained unbeaten on 62, while Wahab Khan made 43 and Asif 34.
In the Premier League I, Hyderabadi Warriors beat KFSH Greens by 2 wickets to book their spot in the semifinals. Batting first, KFSH Greens scored 175 in 20 overs. Kauser scored 42 and Mansoor Ali 41. Abdul Majid took 4 wickets. Hyderabadi Warriors reached the target in the last over. Abdul Kareem scored 40, Abdul Manan 35 and Syed Nasir 28. Kauser claimed 3 wickets, while Mansoor Ali and Naeem bagged a wicket each.
In another match, RAC beat Attieh Steels by 49 runs. RAC, batting first, scored 194. Mudassir scored 41, Sarfraz 34 and Aftab 32. Nasir and Asif got two wickets each. In reply, Attieh Steel was all out for 145 in 16 overs. Aftab took 6 wickets, while Afzal and Amjad contributed with 2 wickets each.
Thales beat Riyadh Fighters by 6 wickets. Batting first, Riyadh Fighters scored 159. Amjid, Atif and Fahad bagged 2 wickets each. Thales reached the target in 17 overs. Asim made 65 and Imran remained not out on 50. Waheed and Yassir claimed 2 wickets each.
In Premier League II, Combined-XI beat Green Bangla by 13 runs. Batting first, Combined-XI scored 200-9 in 20 overs. Kashif scored 65 and Asmat Shahzad contributed 53. Kakon bagged 3 wickets, while Jakir and Aminul claimed 2 each. Green Bangle scored 187-9 in their 20 overs. Kakon was the top scorer with 74 runs, Al-Amin scored 32 and Aminul 22. Asmat Shahzad performed well with the ball as well and took 3 wickets. Kashif, Fiyyaz and Asad claimed 2 wickets each.
Tigers beat Riyadh Panthers by 1 run. Batting first, Tigers scored 151 in 20 overs. Nisar took 4 wickets and Raza 2. Riyadh Panthers fell short of the target by 1 run. Tauseef scored 44, Raza 38 and Waqar 25.
In other matches, BSF beat Fuchs and Pak Force beat Serendib.
