Bowlers shine in BSF T20 event

RIYADH — The ball dominated the bat in the Round 5 matches of the RCA Banque Saudi Al-Fransi T20 tournament here recently.
In Super League action, Lahore Lions beat Fuchs by 7 wickets, thanks to a great all-round performance by Mohammed Nawaz. Batting first, Fuchs scored 141. Shafaqat scored 33 and Awais 26. Mohammed Nawaz was the pick of the bowlers with 5-14. Lahore Lions raced to the target in 13.4 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Nawaz was the top scorer with 53. Sarfaraz added 34 and Salman Butt 30. Rizwan took 2 wickets.
In another match, Lahore Badshah beat BSF by 47 runs. Taking the strike first, Lahore Badshah put on 193 in 20 overs. Shahbaz hit 55, Adnan 24 and Yassir 23. BSF, in reply, was all out for 146 in 15.1 overs. Yassir took 4 wickets and Akram 3. The wicketkeeper of Lahore Badshah Adnan had a great time behind the stumps with 3 catches and 2 stumpings.
Another match saw Amir Holidays beat Ayoun Al-Badr in the last Super League match of the day. Ayoun Al-Badr scored 140, thanks to Mudabar (38) and Imran (28). Samiullah and Aslam claimed four wickets each. Amir Holidays reached the target in 17 overs. Imran scored 34, Babar 30 and Ahtisham 25. Amin bagged two wickets.
Pak Shaheen also scored a win over Shuraim in this league.
In Premier League I, Riyadh Warriors beat Attieh Steels by 32 runs. Riyadh Warriors put on 195-5. Hassan was the highest scorer with 75 off 44 balls. Asif scored 50 and Abdul Rahim 24. Attieh Steels could only score 163 in reply. Shoaib scored 43. Abdul Ghafoor, Shakeel and Ayaz claimed two wickets each.
In another outing, Hyderabadi Warriors beat Riyadh Fighters by 5 wickets.
Riyadh Fighters scored 189 in 20 overs. Abdul Mannan took 4 wickets, including a hat trick. Hyderabadi Warriors chased the target in 17.5 overs.
Feroz scored 62, Abdul Mannan 34, Mohammed Bin Saleh 30 and Abdul Karim 26.
RAC ended the winning streak of KFSH Greens in the most exciting match of the day. Batting first, KFSH Green scored 173 in 20 overs. Suhail scored 44, Tanweer 31 and Naeem 30. Majid claimed 3 wickets and Aftab 2. RAC achieved the target in the last over, thanks to a calculated innings by Zahid Mir who scored 61. Majid scored 28 and Aftab 24. Naeem and Azhar took 2 wickets each.
CKK beat Thales by 50 runs. Batting first, CKK scored 196 thanks to Imran 50, Najeeb 40 and Nouman 37. Thales was all out for 146 in 18 overs. Nabeel took 4 wickets, including a hat trick. Imran claimed 3 wickets and Nadeem Asghar 2.
In Premier League II, Kashmir-XI beat AB Contracting by 4 wickets. Batting first, AB Contracting could only put 88 on the board. Waseem, Ashfaq and Irshad bowled well and grabbed 3 wickets each. Kashmir-XI reached the target of 89 in 11.2 overs. Irshad scored 32 and Mudasir 25.
Seham beat Friends-XI by 77 runs. Batting first, Seham scored 240 in 20 overs. Habib scored 43 and Gulzar 32. In reply, Friends XI could only score 163.
Imran-XI beat Lahore Badshah Green by 115 runs. Batting first, Imran-XI scored 225, while Lahore Badshah Green was bundled out for 110.
Serendib beat Tigers by 15 runs. Serendib put on 166-3 in 20 overs. Sharaf scored 56 and Imran Saleem 47. In reply, Tigers could only score 151.
Fazmeer claimed 4 wickets and Rizmi 3.
