Teams gear up for the BSF T20 knockouts

RIYADH — Ten thrilling matches were played out in the BSF T20 Tournament which is organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) here recently.
In the Super League, Lahore Lions thrashed Shuraim by 97 runs to cement their place in the semifinals. Batting first, Lahore Lions scored 207-4.
Omar Zafar was the top scorer with 83. He was well-supported by Awais 56, Mansoor 37 and Nawaz 27. Faisal, Zeeshan, Mubashar and Imran grabbed one wicket each. In reply, Shuraim batting lineup collapsed and it was all out for 110 in 16 overs. Amin was the only batsman who managed to stay at the wicket and scored 26.
Lahore Badshah beat KFSH Blues by 10 wickets. Taking the strike first, KFSH Blues scored 197-6 in 20 overs. Fakhar made 51, Imtiaz 39, Qaiser and Khurram 22 each and Nasir Abbasi 21. Yassir claimed two wickets. Lahore Badshah reached the target comfortably without losing a wicket in 17.1 overs. Wahab Khan played a magnificent unbeaten knock of 102. Asim was retired hurt on 41 and Yassir made 30.
Amir Holidays beat Fuchs by 81 runs. Batting first, Amir Holidays scored 234. Ahtisham scored 77, Nadeem 41, Irfan 34 and Kamran 31. Riaz and Mohsen bagged 2 wickets each. Fuchs scored 153 in their allotted 20 overs. Mohsen made 40 and Waqar 37. Arsalan claimed 2 wickets.
In the Premier League I action, Hyderabadi Warriors beat CKK by 2 wickets.
Batting first, CKK scored 192 in 20 overs. Imran scored 85. Syed Mubashir took 2 wickets. The Warriors reached the target in 19 overs. Syed Mubashir played a match-winning innings of 82, Abdul Majid made 32, Shahnawaz 24 and Syed Naser 22. Nadeem took 4 wickets.
Stallions beat Thales by 98 runs. Stallions put on a formidable target of 232 thanks to a scintillating knock of 122 by Asif Mehmood. He was well-supported by Junaid 52 and Amir 26. Asim took 2 wickets. Thales was bundled out for 134. Saad made 30. Sohail and Sajid claimed 3 wickets each.
RAC beat Riyadh Fighters by 22 runs. RAC scored 217 in 20 overs. Mubashir made 52 and Aftab 49. Nusrat bagged 3 wickets. Riyadh Fighters could only make 195. Imran Younous was the highest scorer with 53 runs, Yassir added 35 and Arshad 29. Sarfraz claimed 4 wickets and Waqas 3.
In the Premier League II, Lahore Badshah Green beat Friends XI by 9 wickets; Pak Force and AB Contracting played out a draw after both sides scored 219; Kashmir Press beat Tigers by 10 runs; and Imran-XI beat Combined-XI by 8 runs.
RCA President Tariq Javed was also present during the games and met all the teams. He thanked the teams for their support and cooperation. He assured them that RCA was taking every possible step to take cricket to new heights in the region. He announced that RCA will play inter-city matches this season with EPCA and YACA. International tours are also on the cards for RCA teams, he announced.
