JEDDAH — Defending champion Pin Slasher and title campaigner Petromin Express displayed remarkable efforts to keep hold of the top spots with the earlier dominating from week 13 to 15 until the latter overtakes in the 16th session and exchange supremacy on the subsequent matches while Fed Extreme reached striking distance on back-to-back eloquent victories in the FEDBG-FMBL 12th conference now in its 19th week at the Bowling City here.
Team leaders Roger Daquioag and May Lourdes caused most of Bulls' dominance on solid support of team manager Dariel Loquias and teammates Jay Bengco, Garry Raymundo, Edu Toledo, Tito Cruz, Carling Constantino, Carmen Bennardo and Aileen Miralbuna. Petromin, on the other hand, was well-served by TC Paolo Allego, Rolly Vistal, Jerry Carredo, Nilo Llanera, Jeff San Pedro, Rey Beltran, Mel Sayago and Alma Bacero. The hawks grabbed the leadership in week 16 at 373-372, increasing lead at 406-394 the following week, but Pin Slasher reclaimed top rankoing at 424-422 in the 18th session.
Both teams suffered losses this week with the Royal Strikers grounding Hawks at 11-9 and Micah's Pride crippling Bulls at 16-4. Jun Pingan (617) and Nelson Hofer (603) primarily hauled scores for Royal Lions, while Bowler of the Week Melvin Lising kegled best for Tigers at 686 with outstanding blows of 266 and 236. Imelda Sayago tried covering Petromin with 625, while Cruz was in form for Bulls.
Fed Extreme was in 7th spot prior to 18th week, but stepped a notch up after clutching Team of the Week honors the following two weeks.
With Jowet Carreon besting the board at 690 (214, 236, 240), Fed Exteme blanked the Lions at 3,788-3,369 as TC Carlos Bustiner, Fedelyn Bustinera and Jimmy Mandingiado, concretely backed up with 681, 627 and 612. June Estefano and Pingan attempted to escape bleak day, but Robert de Guzman and Farida parried them down. Up against equally talented X-Alley this week, Fedelyn initiated the leadership with Bowler of the Week honor winning a total of 634 (202, 227 and 205). Led by team captain Ali Ibn with
598, Andy Yumena, Archie Santos, Danny Manriza, Dylan Ilagan and Nurissa Ramos tried average repulsion. But with all the FED Extreme cast superlatively scoring, X-Alley was compelled to sign 20-0 (3,669-3,405) settlement.
Current standings: Petromin Express – 434, Pin Slasher – 433, Micash's Pride – 491.5, Ekis – 380.5, Lance & 3rdy – 376.5, Fed Extreme – 374, D' Mountaineers – 347.5, Shawly Bowlers – 340.5, Pin Rockers – 331, Ball Care Team – 297.5, Royal Strikers – 246, X-Alley – 203, Fire Fox – 164.
