RIYADH — Total non-oil merchandise exports, including national exports and re-exports, between Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, amounted to SR9.469 billion in November 2024. This figure represents an annual growth estimated at 43 percent, an increase of SR2.84 billion, compared to the same period in 2023 when it stood at SR6.62 billion. Total merchandise imports amounted to about SR5.66 billion, according to preliminary data from the International Trade Report for November issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT). Saudi Arabia's non-oil trade balance with other GCC countries achieved a surplus, amounting to SR3.71 billion, reaching SR3.8 billion during November 2024. Regarding non-oil commodity exports, including re-exports with the Gulf countries, the United Arab Emirates ranked first with a value of SR7.176 billion, representing about 75.8 percent of the total. Bahrain came in second place with a value of SR929.7 million, representing 9.8 percent of the total, while Kuwait came third with SR610.4 million, representing 6.4 percent of the total. Qatar came fourth with a value of SR395.8 million, representing 4.2 percent of the total, and Oman came fifth with SR356.4 million, representing 3.8 percent of the total, the GASTAT report pointed out.
