JEDDAH — Fourteen Indonesian pilgrims sustained various injuries when their bus veered off the lane and collided with another bus on Al-Haramain Road in Jeddah. Red Crescent rescue teams and security patrols arrived at the scene and transferred the injured to various hospitals. Dr. Muhammad Bajbair, Director of Emergency and Disasters at Jeddah Health Affairs, said nine of the injured were admitted to King Fahd Hospital, three to King Abdulaziz Hospital and the rest to Al-Thaghr Hospital. Maj. Gen. Muhammad Al-Qahtani, Director of Jeddah Traffic Police, stressed the importance of abiding by the traffic rules to avoid incidents resulting from high speed and reckless driving.
