Omar Al-Majma'ei Okaz/Saudi Gazette RANYAH — Two unidentified people attempted to steal an ATM machine, but were foiled by security guards working at a nearby furnished apartment building. They tried to carry the machine away, but it fell alerting the guards of the nearby building. They quickly poured petroleum fluid on the machine and set it on fire before fleeing the scene. The machine sustained minor damage. A source from the Ranyah police said a search is under way for the suspects, and preliminary information was gleaned from the camera in the ATM cubicle, showing that they were masked and wearing gloves.
