JEDDAH – An expatriate worker was found dead inside a laundry in Jeddah's Al-Sharafiyah neighborhood. He was stabbed to death. Police have not identified any suspects yet and are still searching for clues. A citizen called the police after finding the victim lying dead on the floor in a pool of blood. The person who reported the crime said the victim had worked at the laundry for a long time and had been known to be a polite and peaceful man. He was not known to have any quarrel with anyone in the neighborhood. Police officers together with a forensics team were dispatched to the scene and evidence including fingerprints was collected. Investigators have started searching for any evidence that might reveal the identity of the killer. They said the victim was stabbed in the stomach and left bleeding on the floor for several minutes before he died. Spokesman for Jeddah Police Brig. Misfer Al-Juaid said the neighborhood where the crime took place is home to different expatriate communities, which makes the work of investigators even more difficult. Investigations are still ongoing.
