Abdurahman Al-Ali Okaz / Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Jeddah police have busted an Arab gang suspected of carrying out house robberies in a number of east and north Jeddah neighborhoods. The gang allegedly robbed SR126,000 in cash, gold and jewelry, and a computer from a citizen, and SR26,000 from another apartment in the same neighborhood. Another citizen reported his house was burgled into and SR29,000 stolen. Jeddah police spread a security net and were able to arrest the suspects. One of them was found wandering around a residential building. The man returned with others to the same building, which strengthened the suspicions about them. Police surrounded the area and arrested the men, who confessed to many burglaries, including shops and cars, said Brig. Misfer Al-Juaid, spokesman for Jeddah police.
