Jesena, Great Balls of Fire shine

Arnold Jesena of Itqan Tenpin Wizards team — Bowler of the WeekRIYADH — One time Perfect 300 Holder, Arnold Jesena, unleashed one of his deadly forms to claim the Bowler of the Week award, while the Great Balls of Fire bagged the Team of the Week honor in the 12th Week of the Itqan Bowlers Group (IBG) Friday Bowling League, 2nd Conference, here recently.
Jesena of Itqan Tenpin Wizards splashed his old form to post an impressive 915 series scratch in four games — a record that gave him the Bowler of the Week award. Jesena rolled 233, 199, 247 and 236. Jesena's brilliant display lifted Itqan Tenpin Wizards to pulverize the Magnificent-5 23-13. Also in the limelight for Itqan was the duo of Doy del Moral (829) and southpaw Ronald Bautista (813). Team mentor Ric Singson seared the lanes to add 769 points, while former titlist Jun Bantug and Reynald Medina recorded series of 440 and 402 in two games.
Clem Ojeda poured in 789 points to lead the Magnificent-5. He was followed by Jun Daniel and Mar Queyquep, who posted an identical series of 775. Paul Decena had 552 in three outings, while Ely Baraquiel and Cris Crisostomo chipped in with 372 and 352 in two outings. Emerson Mitra contributed 203 in one game.
Great Balls of Fire humiliated SABB Strikers 24-9 to romp away the Best Team of the Week honor. The troika of Ely Fanugao, Sammy San Juan and Romy Bejer powered Great Balls of Fire by knocking down series of 846, 818 and 754, respectively. Jojo Miraflor dazzled to score 566 series in three outings while Ed Cruz contributed 566 points. Jerry Damiray shared 463 points.
The combination of Noel de Guzman and Resty de Jesus delighted to lead in SABB Strikers. De Guzman and De Jesus submitted 625 and 610 points, respectively. Freddie Solomon and Ahmed Al-Qarquosh followed by tallying 531 and 512 points. Mike Benito downed 314 points.
Air21 subdued Saco 22-13 at the expense of Leo Mabunga, who shot a four-game series of 883. Next was Thong Asuncion with 870 points. Ruel Toledo scored 800 points. Jove Marano, Jerry Austria and Shawn Rickett carded 572, 540 and 400.
Leading scorer for Saco was Jun Sebastian with 870 points. He was followed by Jim dela Rosa (802), George Sto. Domingo (783) and Nickson Mesa (697).
Buddy Balisi and Ferdie dela Rosa sealed 392 and 379 series in two games.
Other results: D'Pirates beat Bankrun 22-11, NBA beat Pinbusters 21-11, Salying Kits beat Itqan Tornado 20-17, Roll and Bowl beat Xperts 19-11.
