Hussein Hazazi Okaz/Saudi Gazette JEDDAH – Highway Patrol officers of Makkah Region foiled an attempt to smuggle 100 illegal workers from different nationalities into the region on Thursday night. Maj. Gen. Mufrah Al-Zahrani, from Highway Patrol force, said the undocumented workers were stashed in a truck which was pulled over on the Coastal Road. “Before Ramadan, smugglers start to get more active and transport illegal workers from one city to another for money.” Security forces have intensified their efforts to arrest anyone who tries to jeopardize the country's national security.
