DAMMAM — The Border Guard in Dammam warned swimmers not to cross the marine buoys that have been placed to indicate safe areas for swimming. “Being a good swimmer does not justify crossing of the buoys because swimmers may fail to swim back to the shores due to physical exhaustion. We have also warned swimmers not to cross the buoys to avoid accidents with passing boats and jet skis," said Col. Khalid Al-Arqobi, the Border Guard spokesman. Al-Arqobi said the warning was issued after a growing number of incidents of swimmers being rescued by the guards' patrols. — SPA
