Pin Slasher outwitted Micah's Pride to clinch the Filipino Expatriate Damayan Bowling Group Friday Morning Bowling League 11th Conference crown at the Bowling City here. Prior to this, four exciting stepladder matches were seen, wherein Dr. Hassan Hijazi Team of Carlos and Fedelyn Bustinera triumphed over Petromin Express and Pin Rockers in three-team shootout. Dr. Hassan Hijazi team then was defeated by defending champion EKIS XX at 1,141-1,120 on heroic 266 and 208 deliveries of Eugene Delfin and team captain Ernie Geslani. But climbing up against third qualified Lance & 3rdy, EKIS XX wasn't able to break with only Ruben Gri?o (208) and Geslani (207) parrying the collective wrecking of their rivals. With Ric Reformado, Ver Jasa and Edward Botardo pillaring with 236, 232 and 211 and team manager Evelyn Santoc, Shirley Sagmit and Elo Manalo fairly supporting with 488 Lance & 3rdy dethroned EKIS XX at 1,167-1,051. But Micah's Pride did not prolong the upward movement of Lance & 3rdy. A week later the former halted the latter on their two-game series showdown inked at 2,296-2,209. Micah's Pride perfectly executed their match plan on well-distributed games with Ronnie de Castro greatly scoring with 604 followed by team head Ester Santoc 587, Jack Jarin 559, Oca Bernabe 549 and identical 547 from Ruel Santoc and Bonnie Garcia. Evelyn Santoc and Edward Botardo walled Lance & 3rdy with 612 and 608, but the cushion of their support squad turned out insufficient to sway the whirling opponents. On the moment of truth, wherein Pin Slasher came in well prepared after three weeks of waiting, Micah's Pride was seen confused on pale start of Oca Bernabe and Bonnie Garcia in which Jack Jarin tried to enliven with 231 on the first salvo. Disadvantaged by 68 pins into the ultimate game Micah's Pride still missed the explosion from their two towers so that though Ronnie de Castro sparkled a 245 and Ruel Santoc planked 203 they could only win the game at 1,148-1,145 letting Pin Slasher go with the title on final tallies of 2,286-2,245. Team manager Dariel Loquias bested the binge with 409, followed by Aileen Miralbuna 399, Jay Bengco 389, TC Roger Daquioag 372, Obie Ycasas 368 and May Lourdes 349. Other teammates were Tito Cruz, Garry Raymundo, Edu Toledo, Pancho Cuevas and Carling Constantino. FEDBG thanked Makati Foods and Bob Stone for supporting this competition. __
