JEDDAH: Micah's Pride was led by Bonnie Garcia and Ester Santoc who both superlatively marked 600 and up to force Bowling Is Fun to an 18-2 submission on the 8th week while Ekis team relied mostly on the superb deliveries of Faisal Relativo, Jimmy Leonida and Malou Gime to trash Pinoy Salo-Salo on the 9th week of the Filipino Expatriate Damayan Bowling Group Friday Morning Bowling 10th conference at the Bowing City here.
With TC Ruel Santoc, Arnold Banayat, Oca Bernabe and Jun Estefano solidly supporting their match leaders, Micah's Pride conquered BIF one-sidedly on scratch at 1,063-933, 1,052-1,035 and 1,158-880. Bowling Is Fun enabled to escape handicapped game of the second set at 1,178-1,155 on the push of Caloy Nuguit, Benj Espinosa and Nards Hassan but this did not affect Micah's domination that favored them of the final tallies signed at 3,582-3,277. Ester led Micah's board at 618, Garcia posted 615, Ruel collected 598, Banayat gathered 592, Bernabe 584 and Estefano 575 while Hassan scored best for BIF at 613.
Bowlers of the 8th week were Zady Bacero and Gail Mata who respectively led Ekis and Mobily-Globe in trouncing their separate opponents. Bacero scratch 675 from games of 224, 262 and 189 while Mata had 621 from her handicapped games of 212, 196 and 213. They both received BOW gift from FEDBG and Rey del Rosario of Nada Dairy.
Ernie Geslani-captained Ekis team lopsidedly beat Pinoy Salo-Salo to follow up their clean slate over Lance & 3rdy last week and move closer to league leader Make My Day on an 8-point slash from 19 (206-187) last week down to 11 (221-232) to-date.
Jimmy Leonida led Ekis bard with his outstanding output of 692 which he surprisingly collected from handicapped games of 289, 200 and 202. Relativo and Gime joined Leonida in walloping opponent with supreme backup of 670 and 633. Relativo recorded personal scratch of 257. Such triangular leadership encouraged essential support from Bacero, Alex Flora and Med Ramos for respective shares of 591, 579 and 549. Ross Isabiniano tried to block massive blows with his 627 but the average contribution from teammates did not deter Ekis to blank PSS on final tallies of 3,714-3,351.
Bowlers of the Week this session were Luis Pacobas and Eloisa Fernandez who separately led Shawly Bowlers against Bowling Is Fun and Dynamic Keglers against Mobily-Globe. Pacobas totaled 700 from games of 241, 267 and 192 while Fernandez had 653 built from 223, 216 and 214. Pacobas and Fernandez also received BOW award from FEDBG. Shawly Bowlers won over BIF at 16-4 while Dynamic Keglers humbled Mobily-Globe at 18-2.
Meanwhile on the team uniform competition, Dynamic Keglers of Emil Payongayong was voted good, Lance & 3rdy of Ric Reformado and Evelyn Santoc was better and Gulf Oil of Marlon Heredia and Nildo Tan was the best. __
