Centuries galore in WPCA Dopco Cup tournament

Five centuries were recorded in the 6th week matches of the Dopco Cup Premier and Afternoon Tournaments which are organized by the Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) at the Eskan grounds.
Batting first, Usman Gems's Moazzam Shoukat and Amjad produced 163 runs. Moazzam made 102 off 77 balls with 10 fours and 5 sixes. Amjad continued his stroke play to take the score to 310. He blasted a classic 141 in 89 balls whereas Zahid Bhatti made 34 to get to the final tally of 340. Ijaz and Asim claimed 2 wickets each. Shahbaz and Ajmal got one each.
In reply, Dopco Stars had Hasanat who produced career-best 100 in 69 balls. Usman hit 45 and Shahbaz faced 96 balls to remain unbeaten on 121. They stormed to 334 for 9 but fell short by just 6 runs. Ajmal chipped in with 30. Requiring 12 runs of the last over Dopco could make only 5.
Afternoon event
Elaf Advance won against Hala Academy Blue by 7 wickets. It reached the victory target of 136 in 91 balls from 18 for 2 as Majed made 87 in 51 balls and Ijaz Butt 29. UCC batted first against Al-Safree. Azeem made 69 in 48 balls and Altaf Ali 40 not out to post 164 in 20 overs. Al-Safree with Sayed making 46, Shakeel unbeaten 28 and Wasiq 26 won (167 for 6) the match. Shahnawaz scalped 2 wickets.
Pak Mecca XI was bowled out for 132 by Fuchs Hamrani. Irfan Anjum bowled devastatingly to grab 5 for 10 and Saqib 3-28. Amir made 41 and Qasim 30. Fuchs, in reply, won by 5 wickets by reaching 133 through Khoban 35, Farid 30 not out and Mukhtar 25.
My Care Hala Green achieved the winning target of 181-2 against Jotun Paints who had earlier made 177 as Owais hammered unbeaten 69 and Azhar 72 not out. Together they added an unbroken 146 for the third wicket. Earlier, Anjum made 24. Ejaz took 2 wickets. Rizwan and Hassan Malik took 2 wickets each.
Zultrack responded with 134 to defeat AMI Juffali by 2 wickets. Chand 25, Rashid 22 and Imran 21 not out were the main scorers. Rafi Gujjar and Zafar claimed 2 wickets each.
Other scores: Contraco 255-5 (Kaleem 140, Maqsood 43, Khurram Aziz 42, Waseem 2 wickets). IDBG 149-6 (Asif 66 not out, Ramazan 32, Tahir and Akhtar took 2 wickets each).
Marine Services 133-9 (Tahir 40, Kashif 37, Azhar 3-22, Iqbal and Zahid 2 wickets each). MCC 134-6 (Zahoor 28, Asghar 3-28, Riyaz 2 wickets.)
Desert Lions 187-6 (Rimzan 56, Siraj 42, Amith 34, Mifraz 26, Samiullah 2 wickets). Munch Bakery 112 (Samiullah 34, Tariq 29, Rohan 4-17, Rumesh 2 wickets).
