Kashif, Jawad, Zia hit tons in JCA-Ace Travel Saudi Cup

JEDDAH — Kashif Shafique (173) of Pepsi Deccan Knights, Zia Anwar (129) and Jawad (100) of MB Stars excelled to give their teams resounding wins in the 8th week matches of Ace Travel Saudi Cup sponsored by Ace Travel and Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Elsewhere, Hyderabad Sharks got the better of Multan Tigers by 27 runs while Saudi German Hospital beat Rawalpindi Stars by 6 wickets.
Kashif Shafique of Pepsi recorded his 4th century of the league with a swashbuckling 173 of 71 balls inclusive of 10 fours and 15 sixes to give his side a 42-run win over Gboard, who in their chase of 272 made 229 for 5.
MB Stars scored a 76-run win over BBB with centuries from Zia Anwar 129 of 61 balls inclusive of 16 fours and 4 sixes and Jawad 100 of 45 balls studded with 9 fours and 4 sixes. Shahid, who picked up 6 for 25, too starred.
Hyderabad bested Multan Tigers by 27 runs with Shahzad (38), Yasser (36) and Sharoz (35) combining well in their team's win. Saudi German Hospital's 6-wicket win over Rawalpindi Stars centered on Huzaifa's fine all-round show (2 for 29 and 37 n.o.).

MB Stars and Pepsi Deccan Knights marched ahead with exciting wins against Gboard and BBB by 92 runs and 4 wickets respectively in the 7th week matches. MB Stars Jawad 79 of 46 balls (4 fours, 5 sixes) and fine all round show by Mansha brothers Ameeq (53 runs, 2 for 16) and Ateeq (20 runs, 2 for 12) were the heroes of their side's enthralling 92-run win over Gboard.
It was once again Kashif Shafique's fine knock of 109 runs of 46 balls with 12 fours and 5 sixes that was the mainstay of PDK's 4 wicket win over BBB.
