JEDDAH — ARM and Pak Shaheen began their quests for the Ace Travel Premier League title with thrilling wins in the 2nd week of the tournament sponsored by Ace Travel & Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA). Pak Shaheen beat MB Stars by 4 wickets. MB Stars, batting first, scored 193 for the loss of 7 wickets. Moazzam Virk hit 44 off 25 balls (8 fours, 1 six), Ateeq Mansha 24, Ameeq 27 and Badar 32 (2 fours, 2 sixes). Faisal claimed 2 for 47, Tabassum 2 for 30 and Nasir 2 for 31. In reply, Pak Shaheen reached 196 runs for 6 with Usman scoring an unbeaten 57 (3 fours, 4 sixes), Qamar 42 (5 fours, 2 sixes) and Afzal 39 (5 fours, 2 sixes). Ateeq Mansha picked up 3-42, while Yasir, Zia and Moazzam bagged a wicket each. ARM United beat Saudi Oil by 5 wickets. Saudi Oil, opting to bat first, could manage only 146. Sulaiman Malik made 35 (5 fours), Chand 25 (4 fours) and Ashiq 20 (3 fours). Nazeer took 3-32, Zeeshan 3-30, while Atta and Sami took one wicket each. ARM United coasted to 148 for 5, thanks to Nazeer who blasted a superb 95 off 58 balls. Rashid (19) and Ashraf (16) gave him good support. Niaz (2-18) and Waqar (2-39) tried to tighten their grip on the match, but not tight enough as ARM won comfortably.
