Saudi Oil and MCH teams prevail in Ace Premier League

JEDDAH — Saudi Oil edged Pepsi Deccan Knight in a thriller by 2 wickets, both MCH teams Blazers and Premier recorded contrasting wins against ALJ Toshiba and Sindh XI, respectively, while Adnan Khan blazed his way to a superb 126 to score a 71-run win against MB Stars in the 4th week matches of the Ace Premier League.
The tournament is sponsored by Ace Travel and Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Saudi Oil beat PDK by 2 wickets. Pepsi Deccan Knight scored 177 for 9. Wajid Samdani played a blistering knock of 61 and Ahmed Najeeb 34. Asim took 4 wickets giving away only 9 runs and Ashiq took 3-22. Chasing 178, Saudi Oil Company reached the target in 18.5 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Sulaiman scored 43, while Chand (35) and Shahzad (25) chipped in with useful contributions. Haider, Naveed Samdani and Ayaz took 2 wickets each, giving away 37, 29 and 22 runs, respectively.
MCH Blazers edged ALJ Toshiba by 3 wickets. ALJ scored 173 for 8. Zahid made 38, Tanveer 37 and Basheer 37. Asim claimed 3 wickets for 28 runs and Kamran took 2-23. In reply, MCH Blazers reached the target of 174 in 19 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Aamir Shahzad scored 43, Asim 30 and Qamar Javed 29. Bilal and Arif scalped 2 wickets each.
MCH Premier thumped Sindh XI by 9 wickets. Sind XI was all out for 100 in 14 overs with only Munawar scoring an unbeaten 62 and Naseer 20 as others caved in to the pace of Jawad, who took 3 for 23 and Jameel 2-21. In reply, MCH Premier reached the target of 101 in 9.3 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Naeem remained unbeaten on 64, while Abu Huraira gave him company scoring 29 as MCH continued its unbeaten run in the League.
ACE Travel crushed MB Stars by 71 runs. ACE Travel put on 257 for 6. Adnan Khan blazed his way to a brilliant century (126), with valuable support from Kashif (37) and Moazzam (22). Yasser and Moazzam Virk picked up a wicket each. MB Stars fought well, but could manage only 186 for the loss of 4 wickets. Ateeq Mansha played a polished knock of 88 and Hafiz Zia chipped in with an unbeaten 59 with support from Akhtar (32). Yaseen took 2 wickets for 33 as Ace won handsomely.
