Saudi Hankook Racing Team gets ready for new season

Following its remarkable victory of 24-hour endurance race in Dubai this year, and after getting the highest scores in many car races last season, Saudi Hankook Racing Team races, under the sponsorship of the Bin Shihon/Hankook Tire, the exclusive distributor of Hankook tires in Saudi Arabia, is getting ready to compete in the new season.

The team finished its preparations to take part in two rounds of GT Championship, which will be held in Riyadh on Reem International Circuit Friday, with the participation of many strong regional racing teams. The Team will take part under the leadership of the Saudi veteran racer Captain Saeed Al-Mouri; on board Mercedes SLS GT3 fitted with Ventus F200 competition tiers, which geared up by the German Black Falcon team. The Team also will adopt on a group of young Saudis who were trained and highly qualified last year under the Saudi Hankook Racing Team social responsibility program.

On this occasion, Captain Al-Mouri commented: "Last year was a special year for us both on regional and local levels, and we do trust that we can accomplish great accomplishments this season, as well. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bin Shihon Group and Hankook Tires for their continuous support. I affirm that our stunning results of last year were linked closely to Hankook tires, which our cars were equipped with, played a crucial role in our winning through its strong performance, extreme grip and precise handling and steering response, which helped us a lot in all race stages."

He added: "We started last year to train and qualify 6 Saudi young people to be part of our maintenance team this season. This step comes within our strategy to support Saudi youths to build up their ambitions."

Noting that the Saudi Hankook Racing Team will take part in T2 category of Hail Rally, which takes place on March 31. The Team seeks to reach the foremost positions in view of to its long experience in this race, as well as its intensive training and preparation, a long with equipping the car with Hankook Dynapro tire, which is qualified by its impressive performance on rough road conditions.
