The Saudi Motorsport achieved its first global achievements in the new motorsport season 2017 at the Hankook 24H race, where Saeed Almouri, leader and driver of Hankook Racing Team, posted victory for Saudi Arabia Motorsport when he came first. The Hankook 24H race was held recently at the Dubai Autodrome with participation of more than 90 cars and more than 420 drivers from around the world. Hankook Racing team leader Saeed Almouri participated in the race aboard his car Porsche GT3 and under Hankook Tire flag, where he achieved this remarkable success after finishing first in its class 991 under the German Black Falcons banners along with his teammate Saud Al-Faisal, Anders Fjordbach (Denmark) and Alexander Toril (Spain) taking turns behind the wheel. After the coronation, Almouri said: "I am very happy with this result and achievement for the Saudi Motorsport, it is my pleasure to be part of such great event under the sponsorship of Bin Shihon Group – Hankook Saudi Arabia. This is our third participation in this race and succeeded in recording outstanding results for the Saudi Motorsports and Hankook Racing Team alike. He added: "Bin Shihon Group/Hankook Tires sponsorship spurs us to record stunning accomplishments in these races. Being part in 24H endurance race needs strong and advanced cars supported by high quality tires, which can withstand the ongoing pressure of the race. However, our car is equipped with Hankook tire model F200, which offers best quality and strong endurance capabilities. This is in addition to our drivers' vast racing experience and physical fitness. We do anticipate that we will do it again and record stunning results". The 11th edition of Dubai 24H kicked off with the participation of 92 cars on the starting line. Since its inauguration as a predominantly touring car-based event in 2006, the Dubai 24H has become a trusted curtain raiser, and one of the world's greatest endurance races. - SG
