Saudi champion Saeed Al-Mouri, driver of Hankook Racing Team, achieved a remarkable achievement in motorsport for his team and for Saudi Arabia, when he came third in the overall standings of Hankook 24H Dubai 2016, which was held at Dubai Autodrome circuit recently. Achieving this advanced position is a clear proof of his strong performance and high skills. The Dubai round of Hankook 24H is the first round of a series of 24 hour endurance races held across the world. The 24H endurance race was the first Al-Mouri took part after the renewal of his sponsorship contract with Bin-Shihon Group/Hankook Tire Co., Ltd. This sponsorship granted him this remarkable opportunity to be part of the first round of the world's strongest 24H race. After signing the sponsorship contract, Al-Mouri commented: " I'm very pleased with the renewal of my sponsorship contract with Bin-Shihon Group/Hankook Tire Co. After five years of our relationship, it is no longer just a financial sponsorship; we are more like a family, a family that I am proud of. I shall do my utmost to make them proud of my achievements and positive results. The result of the race was good, frankly, it was beyond our expectations. We have succeeded to be in the heart of the race despite the presence of more than 100 strong competitors." After coronation, Al-Mouri said that the result was very good for him, and added: "It was a great start, which enabled me to lead the race, then an accident in front of me slightly delayed me, however, I managed to pass without serious effect on my advance. I maintained my position in the 3rd place for the remaining laps. It was a fierce competition, but, based on my vast experience, I managed to defend my position successfully and booked myself the 3rd place on the coronation podium. However, I have achieved the best result for me this season, it makes me very happy. I attribute my victory to my country Saudi Arabia. No doubt, this result represents a cornerstone for me as well as for Hankook Racing Team; as it comes in the early stage of the season. It will spur us to offer a great season."
