Deccan NRI's Group felicitates Shuttari

JEDDAH — The Deccan NRI's Group, a Jeddah-based charitable organization that has taken up causes and issues of the community here, felicitated Sultan Shuttari who is one of the well-known and founding Muslim leaders of the current TRS government in Telangana, Hyderabad.
Shuttari is in the Kingdom on a short visit. He commended and congratulated all members for their efforts to help the community.
"Development of the community is also being carried out by the government, but, efforts of DNG have been encouraged to reach out where the government is unable to," he said, adding that 71 schools had been brought into existence after the government was handed over to the TRS.
He stressed on the importance of education as well and explained how education can break the chain of poverty in our community. He also highlighted other government schemes, which are granted by the government to needy persons in the community.
Shuttari suggested for the members to discuss political news and updates so that everyone is up-to-date on the situation in Hyderabad, India.
Executive members were requested to investigate as much as possible before nominating families for any assistance.
Further in program the investment made by Deccan NRI Group in Hyderabad, as a source of funding for their activities and supervised by their Chairman Syed Abdul Quadeer Khalid, was highlighted.
Khalid said, "Education sector needs to be focused upon so that the dependency of poor families on charity trusts will gradually subside.
Standard operating procedures to be made for the organization so that Deccan NRI Group can carry out their duties towards the society in a more efficient manner."
A member of the group Kaleem donated Rs.5000 against the plea for the fees settlement of a poor student in Hyderabad.
Earlier the program commenced with the recitation of some verses from Holy Qur'an by Master Nabeel and Master Ilyas provided the translation.
