RIYADH — The International Indian School Riyadh (IISR) will soon get its own building with state-of-art facilities at ta prime location here, the chairman of the managing committee Shafi Ahmed Sattar disclosed while addressing the 32nd annual day of IISR, he said the new building about 60,000 square feet area while be built in Al-Rafah, Riyadh. The new building will be constructed according to the new school concept ensuring healthy environment and offering productive learning. He also said the same facility will accommodate both boys and girls, and the school's foundation will be laid shortly. Chief guest of the event Indian Ambassador Ahmed Javed said that when the new building comes up we will have the capacity to accommodate more students. In the current building we were forced to accommodate more than the allowed number of students, hence have ended up paying fines. I hope this major issue will be solved with the new building. The Indian ambassador, also the patron of Indian schools, assured that very soon transparent and justice-based service rule will be made to maintain the highest level of transparency. The details of these rules will be made public soon. He also advised parents to import a sense of health and cleanliness among children. He congratulated and thanked the teachers and administrative staff for producing such good results and also for contributing their best to the education of the children. On this occasion awards and certificates were presented to toppers and meritorious students. This awards were presented by Ambassador Ahmad Javed and his wife Shabnam Javed, Hemant Kotalwar, charge d'affaires at the Indian Embassy and his wife Seema Kotalwar, who had graced the occasion as the guest of honor. Dr. Hifzur Rahman Azmi, second secretary and observer for Indian School, Principal Dr. Syed Mohammad Shoukat Perwez, Chairman of IISR managing committee Shafi Sattar, MC members Sultan Mazharuddin, Roji Mavelil Mathew, Mohammed Naseeruddin, Haider Ali and Dr. Ahmad Dilshad too attended. While welcoming the audience, IISR Principal Dr. Syed Mohammed Shaukat Perwez advised parents not to impose their wishes on children let them proceed to make their own choices. He also requested the parents to take care of the children and ensure them that they are instilled with good habits. He also advised the teachers and students to make the surroundings beautiful with their skills and contributions. An excellent display of a variety of dances marked the Annual Day. A colorful welcome song, group dances and singing of Bollywood numbers, with participation of KG to 11th class students, was the feature of the evening. The vote of thanks was proposed by Meera Rehman, vice principal boys section. The Annual Day ended with the singing of the national anthem. The function started with recitation of the verses of Holy Qur'an by Master Hamza and translated by Master Abdullah. Flower bouquets were presented to all the guests.
