Seven persons were killed and two others were seriously injured in a terrible car accident that happened in Al-Fawarah center, west of Al-Qassim. The accident happened between two pick up trucks that collided heads-on in high speed. Teams from Saudi Red Crescent arrived at the location and transported the critically injured victims to Buraidah central hospital. Warehouse destroyed RIYADH — Civil Defense personnel controlled a fire that started in a warehouse south of Riyadh. Ten teams from the Civil Defense battled the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby areas. There were several explosions during the fire, coming from gas cylinders stored in the warehouse. No casulaties were reported. Drug smuggling attempt foiled JEDDAH — Customs officials at King Abdulaziz International Airport here foiled an attempt to smuggle 508 grams of heroin. The smuggler hid some of the quantities inside his stomach and his shoes. A customs official suspected the strange behavior of the traveler. When he was put under x-ray, officers found the quantity hidden inside his stomach in capsules. On the same day, customs officials also foiled an attempt to smuggle marijuana that was hidden in the passenger's bag. Woman shoot her two-year-old son AL-BAHA — A woman shot her two-year-old son using an unlicensed gun and injured herself severely in Al-Baha in the south of the Kingdom. The two were rushed to Prince Meshari Bin Saud Hospital in critical condition. Investigators arrived at the location to collect evidence. Police said that the motive behind the incident is still unknown. — Okaz/Saudi Gazette Eight escape from social protection home TABUK — Police arrested three juveniles and are still searching for five others who escaped from a social protection home in Tabuk. The police operation still continues as the Ministry of Labor ordered an investigation into the escape. The juveniles broke the window on the top floor and escaped from there.
